Claire Åkebrand is a self-taught artist from Sweden. She grew up in Germany and now lives in Utah. After publishing a novel and poetry collection in 2017, she pursued painting, an interest that quickly turned into an enduring obsession. Klee’s eccentric geometries, Picasso’s boldness, Matisse’s feminine forms, and mid-century graphic design are some of her main inspirations. She mostly works with acrylic, ink, and vintage magazine cutouts.
